SchoolOS leadership meeting

A simple rhythm for decisions, follow-through and learning. Use it if it helps; if your school already has a format that works, keep it — SchoolOS reads either.

Date Present
  1. What matters today?

The strategic issues that need leadership attention now — not a tour of everything happening in the school.

  2. What have we learned since last time?

Evidence, progress, changes, concerns. What is actually different, and how do we know?

  3. What do we need to decide?

For each decision: what was decided · why · who carries the next step · by when.

  4. What are we committing to?

What · owner · by when. A commitment without an owner and a date is a wish.

  5. What remains unresolved?

The issue · what is needed to settle it · when we return to it. Naming this is how it stops disappearing.

  6. What is coming up?

The major milestone, review or event the next few weeks have to serve.

Six questions, in this order, tend to produce a meeting that ends with decisions rather than discussion. If you paste or upload minutes written this way, SchoolOS will offer back what it heard — what you decided, what people agreed to, what you learned, what is still open and what is coming — for you to keep, correct or reject. It reads ordinary minutes too; this format simply makes the reading cleaner.
